A calmness settles over town. The streets empty, the lines diminish, the sounds of cars all but vanish. It is the start of spring break which means it is time for the mass exodus from Wyoming to hotter, more exotic locations. And, that suits us just fine.
There are no lines at the best restaurants, no crowds at the theaters, no bustle on the street and no waiting at the cafe. Sometimes, staying behind feel lonely and desolate, but not this time. This time, I love the way everything has slowed down, the gentle quiet that replaces the hustle, the calmness that rest over those staying here.
Next year perhaps we will go on an adventure, but this year we will just relax and appreciate the quaintness of the town we call home.
