Daily Journey Journal #80: sharing simplicities

Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one.’

― C.S. Lewis

Three glasses. One bottle, a Chardonay. Nothing special but made perfect by the flow of conversation, the sharing of pasts, the bubbling up of mutual laughter. The hours fly by unnoticed and still we are there are the table, talking, laughing, sliding into the long weekend in our quiet, calm social way.

It is the sharing of these simple things that build the foundation of a friendship that will last the years, the adventures, the changes of life. We are so lucky to have met such a wonderful person with whom we can pass the days and share our worlds. It is a beautiful thing.
