Daily Journey Journal #54: train travel

This weekend was the annual Mud Festival in Boryeong, Korea. Getting completely covered in mud, hanging out on the beach and staying in a pension sounded like a blast to us, so yesterday A and I headed out of Yeosu three hours north to the fun. When we left Yeosu the sky was dark, dark, dark. The mountains tops were covered in fog and rain kept trying to fall. Shortly out of the city and for the majority of the trip it rained hard. Fortunately, the sun came out a few hours after we arrived and we were able to have a fantastic time, roll in the mud and earn some great (not!) sunburns.

  1. It’s wonderful that you both are so open-minded to the different cultural events and just go for it!

    Hope you took some pictures?!

    • Thanks πŸ™‚ The mud really was a lot of fun πŸ™‚ A friend took a few but I was terrified of muddying the camera so we didn’t take any while covered in mud, unfortunately.

      • Lol — yeah, mud and camera is NOT a good thing. As long as you had fun – that’s the best part. πŸ™‚
